Undergraduate students Aryadne Santos, Alinne Gobbi and Jessica Souza presented their final papers in the end of June. Under the guidance of Professor Ligia Braz, the students defended their academic work for an evaluation board, and the presentation was all in English.

“Final paper presentation is always a time of great tension for all students and for those academics that had to present them in a foreign language, the challenge was even greater. The work was very well presented, congratulations”, said Elisa Reis, consultant for international programs at the International Affairs Center – NAI.

The students are part of the institutional program of international nursing professionalization, under the coordination of the International Affairs Center – NAI. Students take English classes throughout their undergraduate degree program and prepare for the certifications required to pursue their future profession in the United States.

The oral presentation of the undergraduate thesis is a prerequisite for the degree and this was the first time in the history of the institution that it was held in the English language.
