A delegation from UniEVANGÉLICA has just returned from the United States after two weeks of hard work visiting some of the partner universities the institution has in the US and participating in NAFSA – the largest education fair in the world.

The group was formed by the Provost of the University Center, Carlos Hassel Mendes, by the 1st Secretary of the Evangelical Educational Association, Dr. Geraldo Espíndola, by the academic coordinator of the of International Affairs Center (NAI), Prof. Marisa Espíndola, and support in international affairs, Prof. Luiz Eduardo Krüger and Prof. Talita Lopes.

UniEVANGÉLICA visited the Shorter University in Georgia, Greenville College in Illinois and Bluefield College in Virginia. The technical visits aimed at deepening relations with these institutions and expanding the partnerships for research and exchange of students and teachers.

The Provost Carlos Hassel Mendes considers the trip very important and highlights the strengths of the visit. “There is the possibility of intensifying partnerships with the universities that are also partners in our confessionality. I am happy to see the quality standard of teaching, how they invest in science and research, and how good it is to have partnerships with universities that profess the same faith as us and that also care about the quality of teaching and evolution of science”, says Carlos.

NAFSA

NAFSA is the largest education fair in the world and the 2017 edition was attended by nearly 10,000 visitors and exhibitors from more than 100 countries. UniEVANGÉLICA was present with a stand and took advantage of the fair to exhibit the institution and seek new partnerships.

Prof. Marisa Espíndola sees in NAFSA a great opportunity to strengthen the internationalization process of UniEVANGÉLICA. “It was the best fair we’ve ever attended. Firstly, from the experience we gained during this period of internationalization, getting to know universities and creating relationships. Another positive point was our planning that contributed to our success in this fair with many contacts and many possibilities”, she says.
