The time has come. UniEVANGÉLICA is no longer a University Center but the Evangelical University of Goiás. The institutional reaccreditation process filed with the Brazilian Ministry of Education obtained a positive result on April 13th the ordinance was signed on May 27th. The National Council of Education – CNE unanimously approved the upgrade to a University.
On May 31st, there was an event to celebrate this moment. Milton Ribeiro, the Minister of Education, Ronaldo Caiado, the governor of the state of Goiás and other authorities were here in UniEVANGÉLICA for this historical celebration.
It is time to celebrate. The President of the Evangelical Educational Association and Chancellor of UniEVANGÉLICA, Dr. Augusto César Rocha Ventura, regards this historic moment as unique. “It is the result of the work and dedication of many. The excellent education that takes place here and the fruits produced by it were visible and decisive to reach this high level”.
UniEVANGÉLICA, which has the highest score with MEC, is one of the largest universities in the Midwest. We offer 2 PhDs, 4 Master’s Degrees, 23 Graduate Certificate programs, among specializations and residences and more than 50 Undergraduate programs, both face-to-face and online.
The institution’s more than ten thousand students have a privileged infrastructure, with an excellent library and modern laboratories. UniEVANGÉLICA is one of institutions sponsored by the Evangelical Educational Association – AEE, founded in 1947. AEE also sponsors six other colleges and three schools.
“This was a dream of our founders, in 1947, when they founded the Evangelical Educational Association. They already had the thought that one day the institution could become a university. We owed this to them, to our visionary founders”, explains Rector Carlos Hassel Mendes.
