UniEVANGÉLICA received the visit from representatives of Radford University, Virginia, in the United States. Professors Dr. J. Stephen Childers from the College of Business and Economics and Dr. Jeanne Mekolichick, Associate Provost for Academic Programs came through Liaison America, a longtime partner of UniEVANGÉLICA.
The meeting was attended by the Rector of the University Center of Anápolis, Dr. Carlos Hassel Mendes, the Academic Associate Provost, Prof. Cristiane Bernardes, the Academic Coordinator of the International Affairs Center (NAI), Prof. Marisa Espíndola and the directors of the programs of Administration, Accounting, Physical Education, Nursing, Software Engineering, Pedagogy and Psychology.
It is the second time that representatives of this university visit UniEVANGÉLICA. In April, a delegation discussed the short courses and the project in the Amazon region. This time, the visit aimed the partnership for dual-degree programs, student and faculty exchange, and joint research projects.
Dr. Mekolichick was impressed with the campus and said she was very excited about the partnership. “The campus is beautiful, very impressive and your facilities are very advanced. We have a growing interest in the educational aspirations of Brazil and what you all are doing here and they fit very much with our mission and our goals” she said.
Dr. Childers praised the energy of Brazilians and said he was excited about the future. “I was impressed with the energy. There is just a feeling, an excitement here, everyone is very friendly. We are excited as well and look forward to a long future together”, he commented.
For prof. Marisa Espíndola, the visit materializes the work that has been carried out. “This second visit extends the possibilities for mutual cooperation, allowing our students to receive two certifications with an American University, improve their second language and the many other forms of cooperation that arise from the technical visits”, she said.
She also took the opportunity to acknowledge the support received. “We thank Sandra (Liaison America) for the intermediation and also the support of the Rector’s office and our sponsor that make our work possible”, she added.
