In the first week of September, Prof. Alexandre Ribeiro Gonçalves, was in Colombia representing Brazil as a judge of the Third Edition of the Latin American Architecture Prize Rogelio Salmona.
Prof. Alexandre was the only Brazilian judge in the event, alongside professors from universities in Mexico, Chile, Colombia and the Netherlands. “The competition took place in two stages: the first was in May. I selected the works referring to Brazil that would participate in the award, I did a curatorial. Now I went to judge and award the prize to the best work”, he explained.
During the event it was possible to establish important links. We had the presence of several important professors and universities, which can even become partnerships.
“I started a dialogue on this subject and now let’s see how we can carry out this partnership. But we have the interest of the Colleges Los Andes and La Salle. The idea is to set a collaboration through the International Affairs Center – NAI, for the students here know the architecture there and vice versa”, he concludes.
