Through partnership between the Academic Coordination of International Affairs Center – NAI and Confucius Institute, was held between 9 and 24 July the first Summer Camp in China, at HEBEI University, which attracts people from all over the world.
The Chaplain of Couto Magalhães School and Professor of Language Center, Breno Bezerra Brilhante and Civil Engineering student of UniEVANGÉLICA, João Paulino Cardoso Neto, will spend time in the camp, where the only spoken language is Chinese. “It will be a fantastic experience, because in addition to learning more of the language, I will know the Chinese culture,” says Breno Brilhante.
The chaplain has learned to speak some Chinese, but there is going to face major challenges. Nothing is greater than the desire to learn and experience a new cultural experience. “I will have contact with a culture that had never before. And it is an opportunity to witness the gospel, “he says.
João Paulino, who is studying Chinese at Language Center of UniEVANGÉLICA since the beginning of year 2016, had some information about the Summer Camp in China and became interested. “I hope to learn a lot and enjoy China. I was attracted by the opportunity to go to the other side of the world. And still have many benefits, “he says.
Next year, it is expected that more students will participate in the Summer Camp in China, which will happen again in July 2017.
