The Assistant Dean for International and Graduate Affairs of Moritz College of Law in the Ohio State University, in the USA, Laura Fernandez participated in the 2nd International Education Week, in UniEVANGÉLICA. She spoke to Law students about opportunities scholarships to study in the United States.
Laura talked about the differences in the Judicial Systems between Brazil and the USA and also professional and academic performances regarding Law in the USA. Laura said that the talk was very positive. “It’s a great way of exposing them to new ideas and plant the seed in international programs, so that they can continue getting ready and making it happen, says Laura.
Besides Laura Fernandez, the lecture also had the participation of Jane Aparecida, who shared her experience at Moritz College of Law. She said that the fact that UniEVANGÉLICA has an international department helps the students who want to study abroad a lot. “I think those kinds of initiative are fantastic, few universities have that. In my case, for example, I had to go after everything on my own, so this opportunity, these events and information are good for the students, says Jane, who is currently working as a representative of the Ohio State University in Brazil.
The International Academic Coordinator, Prof. Marisa Espíndola, attended the lecture and talked about the importance of this moment for the internationalization. “The most important is broadening our student’s international understanding, that’s the goal of the International Week; and to create an international environment in the institution and consequently show the students the opportunities for mobility, exchange programs and scholarships, says the professor.
