Teachers of UniEVANGÉLICA Language Center and Integral Bilingual College Couto Magalhães participated in a training course offered by Language Center and taught by a team of House Thomas Jefferson in Brasilia.
Casa Thomas Jefferson is a reference in English teaching and now has more than sixteen thousand students studying English in online courses, regular and flex. “This is the first course of training we offer our teachers. And from now we want to make these meetings more often, “explains Language Center Coordinator, Prof. Marisa Mota Espíndola.
Teachers attended lectures and participated in group dynamics, always under the guidance of experts of the House Thomas Jefferson, Isabela Freitas Villas Boas, Katia Andrea of Silva Falcomer and Ana Albi Netto. They also they exchanged experiences and knowledge. Prof Isabela Villas Boas spoke about Oral and Written Production ; Prof. Katia Falcomer taught about Understanding Oral and Written texts and Prof. Ana Albi spoke about Inductive grammar.
Professor of Italian Language Course, Kleber Silvestre said that the training was very important. “The course gave me a reflection on the teaching practices of teaching a second language, with the possible immediate application in the classroom,” he said.
The Language Centre offers courses in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, Sign Language and Portuguese for Foreigners.
“We understand that as teachers we need constant reflection and analysis of our teaching practice. The critical reflective teachers are always in pursuit of continuing education for their individual growth, which is directly reflected in the growth of their students”, concluded Professor Pollyanna Gomides.
