Business Administration

The UniEVANGÉLICA Administration program allows the qualification of professionals capable of boosting and transforming the present and the future. With the integration of technical knowledge and practical experiences, the program develops quantitative, analytical, functional and behavioral skills to train the most important administrators in the market.

About the Program

The Administration Program aims to train entrepreneurs and managers of their own businesses or their work, with attention focused on market opportunities, exploring activities in a strategic and innovative approach. As a task, it seeks to obtain results through the coordination of people, whether in industries, public service organizations, health, education, military or religious institutions, in commerce or agricultural activity.

The graduate in Administration must gather professional and personal characteristics, with a general profile, combining leadership, competence, business vision and entrepreneurial spirit, so that he / she can both provide their own and third-party development, as well as be qualified to carry out basic research applied to the business area of organizations.

The administrator is a professional who works at the most varied levels of an organization – from the lower-level positions in hierarchy to the CEO of the company. To do so, the program proposal includes the areas of marketing, finance, production, human resources, and logistics, among others.

Job Market

In a society of constant challenges, the role of the administrator is present in every and each organization. From technological transformations to international political decisions we find examples of what moves the permanent study of administration in the context of globalization.

With so many decisions to be made, the valuation of knowledge is present. According to data from the Federal Council of Administration (2010), the profession of Administrator is the fastest growing in the world, so is the number of problems to be solved in organizations (public, private and/or non-profit). In Brazil this situation is no different.

In the state of Goiás, there will also be several opportunities, starting with the number of cities with a growing economy ranging from extractivism to livestock and planting practices, industrialization, strong trade, tourism, general services. The growth of Goiás is above the Brazilian average. Studies carried out by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE, January to May, 2010) for the industrial sector in Brazil reveal that in the first half of that year the state of Goiás grew economically by 27.9%.

Differential Advantages

Curricular structure

The curricular structure of the program is modern and up-to-date, as not only does it meet the demands of the Brazilian Ministry of Education and as it also addresses the demands of the local and regional context. It also seeks to ensure adequate depth and perspectives for the application of general and specific practices and knowledge, research development and generation of new knowledge. The disciplines offered are integrated and organized in theme areas.

Junior Consulting Firm

The Junior Consulting Firm, in operation since August 2002, is a management practice laboratory, made up of students from the Administration program, who provide consulting and develop projects for future entrepreneurs, microcompanies, and society in general in their areas of activity. The work of the students is supervised by professors and specialized professionals, constituting an important space for the exercise of professional practice related to the academic education of the students of the program.

Computer Labs

The University Center of Anápolis currently has 10 (ten) multidisciplinary computer labs. They are the spaces where the Administration students can learn how to create spreadsheets, work with management software simulations and specific electronic tools, as well as work with different computer resources, and also develop theoretical researches with their professors.

Curriculum

Final Paper

The Final Paper is part of the curricular content that is compulsory for the conclusion of the course. Thus, the Final Paper, due to its peculiarities, has its own regulations, with very clear criteria, procedures and evaluation mechanisms, as well as technical guidelines related to its elaboration, according to the Final Paper Regulation.

These shall be turned in as Final Papers: Monograph, Scientific Article or a Business Plan.

The Internship Coordination offers support to the students and professors in the elaboration of the Final Paper and in the frequency control and evaluation of supervised internship activities.

Internship

The Supervised Curricular Internship is a compulsory subject for all students and is part of the curriculum of the seventh semester of the Administration program. It is carried out for 80 hours during the semester. At this stage the student has the supervision of the Internship Coordinator and guidance of a professor in the related area and practical supervision at the Internship site, through a professional designated by the research tutor.

The student must present a bimonthly report to the tutor, a partial report with the activities developed in the Internship, signed by the supervisor indicated by the granting company and subject to appreciation by the Internship Coordination. In this way the Supervised Curricular Internship combines technical and scientific work, at the moment that the practical activities are supported based on the description of this report. The student describes the activities developed at the internship site by linking the subject to a theoretical-practical axis of the Administration Sciences.

The Supervised Curricular Internship may be held in public, private, third sector companies or in the Junior Firm of the program. This activity will integrate the student into concrete professional situations concerning the profession of the Administrator.
