The 3rd International Week of UniEVANGÉLICA was an initiative of the International Affairs Center, and took place until October 27th at the University Center of Anápolis – UniEVANGÉLICA, Faculdade Raízes and Faculdade Evangélica de Ceres, institutions supported by the Evangelical Educational Association. The event had as its theme: “Interculturality: It’s time to think!”.

The event began on October 23 and from the first day it has already mobilized hundreds of students, teachers and several representatives of the academic community to discuss the international theme. The coordinator of the International Affairs Center and idealizer of the initiative, Professor Marisa Espíndola, stressed the importance of international actions for the academic development and growth of faculty members and students.

“Every year, the opportunities for academics and teachers to go through an international experience are growing. Both the Evangelical Educational

Association and the institutions that are linked to it have believed in the proposal of internationalization. Academic and linguistic exchange programs increasingly attract the academic community” she said.

The program of the III International Week included movie sessions, ludic and pedagogic activities, seminars, lectures, forums, round tables and the International Solidarity Fair. This last action was an excellent opportunity for foreign students studying at UniEVANGÉLICA to sell typical products from their countries. The Fair already takes place in the University Center of Anápolis and contributes to the subsistence of the foreigners while they are in Brazil.

The International Week brings special programming to the academic community of the cities of Anápolis and surroundings, bringing speakers from around the world to reflect the impacts and challenges of interculturality, as well as presenting opportunities for academic mobility in several institutions and opportunities, through lectures, seminars and cultural and technical training forums.
